The Gaithersburg Giants are a proud member of the Cal Ripken Collegiate Baseball League (CRCBL) one of the top summer collegiate baseball leagues in the country. Founded in 2005, the CRCBL celebrates its 17th season in 2021 and features 6 teams playing in Maryland, the District of Columbia and Virginia. The CRCBL gives college players the chance to refine their skills with the use of wooden bats. Players are housed with local host families for the summer and past experiences have been very positive for both players and hosts. The CRCBL has had over 225 alumni drafted since 2005. For more information on the CRCBL, please visit the league website at www.calripkenleague.org.
Those interested in becoming a host family should be able to provide a bed, adequate space for the player to store his belongings, access to a bathroom and laundry and a spare key if you should not be home. The commitment for housing a player is from June 1st to August 1st. The players are required to live under your rules and to be a responsible member of your household.
In return for housing a player, you and your family get FREE ADMISSION to all Giants home games and recognition at our HOST FAMILY APPRECIATION NIGHT.
If being a host family interests you, please complete the form below. If you have any other questions or concerns, please feel free to contact Bianca Zinzi, Host Family Coordinator at

We look forward to hearing from you!
